Atacama AURORA 6

Stativet Aurora 6 är uppbyggt av en glasfot i härdat glas och en topp av en kraftig stålplatta. De hålls samman av en stålstång där man kan dölja kabeln till högtalaren. Runt stången finns en 70 mm glascylinder vilken man kan fylla med olika material, ej vätska.

The brief was to design a speaker stand like nothing that had come before. It had to be able to compliment the latest speakers whilst coordinating with modern home interiors. It needed to have a designer style and still meet the demands of the audio enthusiast. Most importantly, it needed to appeal to those who feel that speaker stands should add interest to a room, not detract from it.

So Atacama developed Aurora 6. The column is manufactured from a clear acrylic cylinder, whilst the toughened glass base plate is shaped like a tear drop. Cable management has been incorporated via the central chrome torsion tube allowing the speaker cable to be concealed, and sound dampening Atacama Isolation Gel pads are fitted as standard to the top plate.

Atacama have also developed the A.S.I.S.T. Gasket (Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology), one of which is fitted to each end of the Aurora acrylic cylinder. The A.S.I.S.T. Gasket eliminates resonance within the main column and also provides a secure interface for the top and base plates.
